Biography

Danny began DJing at the age of 13 with Mark Edwards doing parties for friends that soon became regular ‘discos’ and end of year parties at a local community centre.

Many bookings for birthday parties followed as their mobile disco delivered the party vibes. But at the age of 16, it was the tail end of the ‘rave’ scene that introduced the concept of mixing. Shortly after Danny got his first guest play in Camberley at a club called Ragamuffins as well as putting together a monthly night called "Connextion" with Mark Edwards at another Camberley bar. Danny then became involved with a night called "Deep Culture" at The Agincourt in Camberley playing House & Garage.

Exploring this new found club culture Danny discovered Paul ‘Trouble’ Andersen’s, The Loft in Camden and fell in love with the soulful garage vibe as mixing took on a whole new meaning!

In 1994, having started university, he secured his first residency with ‘Culture’ held at Warwick University. Running for three years Danny played alongside and was inspired by some of the finest DJ’s in the world including Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson, Todd Terry, Danny Rampling, Farley Jack Master Funk and Paul Oakenfold. He also had his own show on student radio. From this came numerous house parties, open air festivals and club appearances in and around Warwickshire. As well as guest appearances at other universities.

It was during this time that he co-produced his first track, ‘The Mad Messiah’ with Greg Palmley for a university drama society play and fashion show.

Returning to London in 1997 Danny’s mix was heard by Kiss FM’s Bobbi & Steve and he was invited to warm up at the legendary Garage City at Bar Rumba.

In the 5 years that followed he played across the capital at clubs including Turnmills (City Loud and Metro Groove), Rouge, Ember, The Cross Bar in Kings Cross, Club 9 in Kensington and The Plug in Brixton, as well as continued appearances at Garage City. He also played guest mixes on CN SoHo Internet Radio station.

Danny also continued as US Garage room resident at "Quench" in Warwickshire with Galaxy FM’s Tony Walker at Warwick University until 2002. From this he has played several guest mixes on Tony’s ‘Transatlantic Mix Show’.

2000 saw the start of his own night with Mark Edwards, "The Laboratory Sessions," a twice monthly affair to provide Camberley with some well needed Soulful House. This night continues and is going from strength to strength at venues including 'Pacha' London, 'Turnmills' London, 'Zap' Brighton, 'Bar Square' Camberley, 'Five and Lime' Guildford and 'Out of the Blue' Kingston.
